What Technology Can Do

Technology can be utilized in lots of different ways, many of them for personal gain. But while tech is well known for allowing people in relationships to hook up, it can also be used to catch a wayward partner in the act. And monitoring each other is something a lot of couples do.

According to The Telegraph, researchers from the London School of Economics, the University of Oxford, and Nottingham Trent University, conducted a study of 1,000 British couples. Titled ‘Netiquette within married couples’, the study looked at how couples use technology to effectively spy on what their partner is up to.

The results suggest that one in five spouses check their other half’s texts or emails. 10 percent of women and six percent of men also admitted to having checked the browser history of their partners. While one percent of both sexes had used computer monitoring software or posed as someone else to try and catch a partner out.

Future hot car's

An electric car is a car powered by an electric motor rather than a gasoline engine.Electric car can be charged overnight on an ordinary household current. It has a range of 50 miles and a top speed of 62 miles per hour.

From the outside, you would probably have no idea that a car is electric. In most cases, electric cars are created by converting a gasoline-powered car, and in that case it is impossible to tell. When you drive an electric car, often the only thing that clues you in to its true nature is the fact that it is nearly silent.

Under the hood, there are a lot of differences between gasoline and electric cars:

* The gasoline engine is replaced by an electric motor.
* The electric motor gets its power from a controller.
* The controller gets its power from an array of rechargeable batteries.

A gasoline engine, with its fuel lines, exhaust pipes, coolant hoses and intake manifold, tends to look like a plumbing project. An electric car is definitely a wiring project.

In o rder to get a feeling for how electric cars work in general, let's start by looking at a typical electric car to see how it comes together.

Electric cars create less pollution than gasoline-powered cars, so they are an environmentally friendly alternative to gasoline-powered vehicles

mac iPad or Tablet PC

One of the accessories Apple showed off was the iPad Keyboard Dock, which includes a full-size keyboard—similar to Apple’s current aluminum keyboard, but with a few iPad-specific keys—that you can use for input. In fact, when using the external keyboard, the iPad’s onscreen keyboard disappears, letting your document fill the entire screen.
The iPad also supports Bluetooth keyboards, so you can type without having to physically connect the iPad to a keyboard—though you might want to prop the tablet up somehow so you can actually see what you’re typing.

Advantage and Disadvantage of social networking

Disadvantages of Social Application
Neighborhood Disadvantage and Perceptions of Social Support among Adolescents, on social relationships provide individuals with material and instrumental support such as assistance with child care finances and activities of daily living as.
From investigation the relationship between neighborhood disadvantage and perceived social support among adolescents via a multilevel analysis of adolescents living in Chicago neighborhoods. The results from our analysis demonstrate that the association between neighborhood disadvantage and adolescents’ social support varies by type of support (i.e., family versus friend support), gender, and race/ethnicity. Neighborhood disadvantage is weakly associated with increased family support for boys but is unrelated to family support for girls. Further, neighborhood disadvantage is not significantly related to boys’ friend support but is associated with lower levels of friend support for girls. However, the relationship between neighborhood disadvantage and girls’ friend support differs by race/ethnicity, where white girls report lower levels of friend support as disadvantage increases, but the same is not true for black and Latino girls. Greater network density is associated with less friend support for boys and more friend support for girls. Anomic social conditions are associated with less friend support for girls. Neither the density of neighborhood kin and friend networks nor the presence anomic social conditions explains the effects of concentrated disadvantage for girls.

Advantage of social application

Social media applications like blogs, LinkedIn, Twitter,
and Facebook can be useful tools in helping you achieve
guest mind share. Not only are these tools free to use, but
they enable you to relay short, constant reminders about
your cause and your auction.

Creating "something to write" can be overwhelming for some
people, so to get you (or your volunteer P.R. person)
started, below is a list of specific suggestions on what to
write.

1. Announce donations: When a donation arrives, announce
the item, thank the donor, and provide a link back to the
donor's website. Be sure to include a photo, if possible.

2. Ask for a donation to round out a package: "We need a
florist to donate a bouquet to complete our Mother's Day
package."

3. Testimonials: Auction fundraisers should be
mission-focused. Keep your supporters updated with
successes. For instance, "Peggy is off the streets, thanks
to our non-profit," or "Jeremy credits St. Stephens's art
teacher in giving him the confidence to pursue art in
college."

4. Event Preparations: Share a photo of the decor committee
drawing backdrops for the auction, or the Gala Chairs
meeting to send out invitations. This shows that others are
getting involved and making plans to attend the event.

5. Special announcements: Share news. "In just three weeks,
we've surpassed 50 raffle ticket sales." Or, "Only 200
seats left before sell-out!"

6. Apply gentle pressure to past donors: A post such as,
"We sold a lovely 2-night stay at the Fairmont last year,
and are hoping they'll donate again," might work. Include a
link to the hotel, and then contact the hotel so they see
how you are treating them kindly - even before they donate.

7. Answer questions: Make the questions up, if you need to.
"A new family to our school asked what was appropriate to
wear to the auction. Here's our response, along with three
photos of past guests."

8. Create a list: You can create a list on almost anything.
"Top 5 Reasons to Attend our Gala." "Three Ways You Can
Volunteer That Will Take Less Than 2 Hours per Week."

9. Seek specific volunteers: "Any math lovers out there? We
need an auction clerk, and your primary job is recording
numbers at the auction. Any takers?"

10. Link to relevant websites: "In 55 days, our auction
will be raising money for cancer research. Here's a link to
fascinating article written by XYZ about the need for a
cure."

11. Support your supporters: When you notice that one of
your supporters (e.g. a school parent, a Board member, an
auction donor) is mentioned in the paper, link to it and
promote it. "Parent Joe Smith just got promoted and here's
the link. Way to go, Joe! We look forward to congratulating
you in person at the gala next Saturday."

12. Call to action: Try to encourage audience participation
(or at least get the audience to consider participating).
Something like, "Early-bird pricing on gala tickets ends
tomorrow," or "Get your gala dress at Lord & Taylor this
weekend. The store has special occasion dresses on sale."

Ways to Relax

Put things on the list that you might reserve for those times when you need an extra boost:

An afternoon at the movies

A pedicure and/or a manicure

Take a long walk in nature, and bring the dog!

Give yourself an hour to soak in a long hot bath

Relax with a good book

Head to the gym for a workout and a swim

Go on a mini shopping spree

Take a power nap

Splurge on a hot fudge sundae with all the fixings

Whatever the treat, make it self-indulgent and guilt-free. You're working hard to free yourself from a tough addiction, and a little positive reinforcement goes a long way. If all else fails, put yourself on ignore and go to bed a little earlier than usual. Tomorrow will be a better day.

How to avoid smoking"Sigarilyo Dong"

When we quit smoking, most of us go through a fair amount of junkie thinking - the internal battle between our addiction and ourselves. Early on in smoking cessation, the dialogue can seem relentless. It's often persistent, annoying and exhausting. It is however, temporary, and the less attention you give to unhealthy thoughts of smoking, the better.

Thoughts of smoking just one cigarette have been the ruin of many good quitting efforts. It's important for you to realize ahead of time that these mental contortions are a normal part of the recovery process. A little preparation will keep you in the driver's seat when your mind starts to wander and smoking seems like a good option. Sometimes, distracting yourself for as little as 5 minutes is enough to snap you out of faulty thinking and get you moving forward with a better mindset.

Lost weight para pumayat

Rules of Weight Loss

To lose one pound of fat, you must burn approximately 3500 calories over and above what you already burn doing daily activities. That sounds like a lot of calories and you certainly wouldn't want to try to burn 3500 calories in one day. However, by taking it step-by-step, you can determine just what you need to do each day to burn or cut out those extra calories. Below is a step by step process for getting started.

Calculate your BMR (basal metabolic rate). Your BMR is what your body needs to maintain normal functions like breathing and digestion. This is the minimum number of calories you need to eat each day. Keep in mind that no calculator will be 100% accurate, so you may need to adjust these numbers as you go along.

Calculate your activity level. Use a calorie calculator to figure out how many calories you burn while sitting, standing, exercising, lifting weights, etc. throughout the day. It helps to keep a daily activity journal or you could even wear a heart rate monitor that calculates calories burned.
Keep track of how many calories you eat. You can use a site like Calorie Count or use a food journal to write down what you eat and drink each day. Be as accurate as possible, measuring when you need to or looking up nutritional information for restaurants, if you eat out.

Add it up. Take your BMR number, add your activity calories and then subtract your food calories from that total. If you're eating more than you're burning, (your BMR + activity is 2000 and you're eating 2400 calories) you'll gain weight. If you're burning more than you eat, you'll lose weight.

What Should You Eat, mas masarap tuyo

Any breakfast is better than no breakfast, but try not to have doughnuts or pastries all the time. They're high in calories, sugar, and fat. They also don't contain the nutrients a kid really needs. And if you have a doughnut for breakfast, you won't feel full for long.

Just like with other meals, try to eat a variety of foods, including:

grains (breads and cereals)
protein (meats, beans, and nuts)
fruits and vegetables
milk, cheese, and yogurt
Breakfast Ideas
First, the traditional ones:
eggs

French toast, waffles, or pancakes (try wheat or whole-grain varieties)
cold cereal and milk
hot cereal, such as oatmeal or cream of wheat (try some dried fruit or nuts on top)
whole-grain toast, bagel, or English muffin with cheese
yogurt with fruit or nuts
fruit smoothie, such as a strawberry smoothie

Pero ang pinakamasarap tuyo na may kape!!!

eggs become really yummy

Cheese and tomatoes go so well with eggs. This recipe is as good for a light supper or lunch as it is for breakfast. We serve it on a slice of toasted granary - the crunch of the bread offsets the soft texture of the eggs.

Serves 2 (doubles easily)

Ingredients

2 large tomatoes, diced
Olive oil
4 eggs
2 tbsp milk, cream or creme fraiche
2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
2 tbsp parsley chopped
Salt and black pepper
2 thick slices of granary bread, toasted

Directions

1. Sauté the tomato in a non-stick pan with a little olive oil over high heat until cooked but still firm.

2. Beat the eggs with the milk, creme or creme fraiche. Add the cheese, parsley, salt and a few grindings of black pepper. Mix gently. Pour the egg mixture over the tomatoes and cook, stirring over a gentle heat until lightly scrambled but still soft. Serve immediately on top of the warm granary bread. (If you don't toast it, the scrambled eggs will make the bread soggy).
